Elise's Story

I just have to post occasionally… last night was a "girls night"- just me and Elise since the guys in the family were busy. We went out to dinner with a lady that is one of Elise's best friends in the world. I was reminded again how far Elise has come in the last couple years. When we started TNI, Elise had anxiety so severe it was a struggle to leave the house. I had pulled her out of school- she was throwing up and messing her pants every morning at drop off (she had been potty trained for 7 years). Trying all sorts of natural supplements for anxiety… even after starting TNI- things seemed to get worse for up to a year. She started moving extremely slow- especially at nighttime- started having these "freezing spells" where she would just freeze for like five seconds- then continue whatever she was doing. Scary. A few months into TNI she developed a pretty severe facial tic- that was very scary. But several of the admin moms on here were so helpful to guide me through those times. Fast forward to today- she is doing SO good… I am so thankful. Last night it hit me, I haven't seen her have a freezing spell in months. Doesn't really move slowly anymore- unless she's being stubborn . She started back to school this week at her school- a smaller school entirely devoted to special needs- which she is loving. From stories I've read, I still subconsciously brace myself for problems that may still arise in the future…. But right now, I am so grateful!
